Wayne Sharp – Manager

Wayne joined Gwydir Olives as the Factory Manager in September 2006. He has a background in supervision, leadership, logistics management and OHS.

His role in the organisation includes warehouse management, stock control and dispatch, blending of oil for specialised orders, coordinating the processing season between February and April each year and the bottling and logistical management of the factory for the remainder of the year.

Wayne is also currently in charge of sales and brokerage of olive oil, account management, and liaising with clients for the Company.

The Factory Team

The factory team includes Dave Dewberry and Leesah Sipple, who take care of processing, bottling and packing. They are a great team.

Glennis Gartshore is the accounts coordinator and runs the office and assists the Manager with business administration on a part-time basis. Glennis brings book keeping and account management skills to the team.

Margi Kirkby – Marketing and Promotions Consultant

Margi Kirkby began the Gwyir Grove label 10 years ago. She remains the public face of the brand in the market place, and regularly attends food fairs, exhibitions and conducts in store presentations in our retail outlets.

Margi is one of our internationally trained tasters who blends each seasons oil to meet the Gwydir Grove criteria. She is also the driver for new products such as the new Agrumato range of citrus oils now available from Gwydir Grove.

After 10 years Margi continues to be a passionate advocate of Australian Olive Oil. She is well known and respected in the olive industry and regularly conducts olive oil tasting workshops as well as judging oil competitions throughout Australia and oversees.

Margi has a good working relationship with many media personalities, chefs and retailers, and is known as someone representing the Gwydir Grove brand - one with integrity and consistent high quality.
